Business acquisition services

A company acquisition will normally occur as a strategic objective through in depth planned expansion. You may already have possible target businesses, or alternatively a search for a new target may be required. we will work closely with you to address the key issues, tailoring the exercise to suit your individual circumstances and requirements. 

Our acquisition service comprises of the following four main areas:


Step 1 - Strategic advice and preliminary overview

We will review your overall objectives and provide you our experienced assessment
We will look at the industry sector, financial climate and current market conditions
We wilI put together an individual exercise encompssing timing, strategy and any other practicalities


Step 2 - The search

Even if you have specific targets in mind, we will undertake detailed research to provide a full overview of the market
We will use our extensive contacts to identify businesses that may not be available elsewhere
If a specific businesses has already been identified, we will research this in depth, to provide an initial assessment
We will put together a short list of potential acquisitions, and create an appropriate action plan.


Step 3 - The negotiation process

We will make an initial confidential approach to selected target businesses, and collate responses
We will evaluate each target, including trading and financial information, and current and future potential value
We will construct a "short-list" of companies, with whom we will commence negotiations.
We will produce the Heads of Agreement, and coordinate the completion process


Step 4 - Post acquisition management


We will work with our clients following completion, on an individual basis, to advise on, and ensure that, all post acquisition issues are properly identified and implemented.
